Woodhow Tarn is neatly positioned on the slopes of the woodland of Neaum Crag, surrounded by beautiful tall trees this holiday retreat is for those wishing to escape the pace of modern living for a while.

Yet only a few minutes stroll will bring you into Skelwith Bridge with country pub, restaurant, cafe and gift shop.

Woodhow Tarn has a full sized main bedroom and a small bunk room for children. It has a large decking area to take advantage of the woodland siting.

Guests also have free access to the onsite small leisure complex containing swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The complex also houses a small shop and laundry facilities.

Please exit the M6 at Junction 36 and follow the A591 to the Lake District. You will pass by Kendal and need to follow the signs for Windermere/Ambleside. After around 10 miles you will reach Windermere village. Continue on the A591 towards Ambleside. Before you reach Ambleside you will see a set of traffic lights at Waterhead (just after Windermere Marine Limited). Turn left here and continue for about half a mile. Turn left signposted Langdale, Coniston onto the A593, after 100 yards turn left again and drive over a hump back bridge, continuing through Clappersgate. About a mile and half after Clappersgate, turn right (signposted High Close). Carry on for a further ½ mile, turn left (this is the first left you will come to) and drive down this lane and after a short distance you will see the entrance to Neaum Crag on your right. On entering the private woodland drive through the log cabins and continue up the hill passing the swimming pool block (very large log cabin) on the left. Continue straight on and Woodhow Tarn is the third on the LEFT. You will see a slate sign naming the cabin. There is car parking for two cars at the road side.
