Ashlea Pools is set in one of the most beautiful, tranquil parts of south Shropshire and holds the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation.

It is surrounded by rolling hills, picturesque valleys and many places of interest. An ideal centre for walking, exploring the market towns of Ludlow, Church Stretton, Bishop’s Castle and historic Shrewsbury. Step back in time at Ironbridge Gorge and Blists Hill Open Air Museum (30 miles) or just relax and watch the wild birds and waterfowl on the lake.

The town of Craven Arms lies on the A49 some 20 miles south of Shrewsbury & 9 miles North of Ludlow. From Craven Arms turn off at Craven Arms Hotel (B4368), signposted Clun. At Long Meadowend turn left onto the B4367 & follow the brown tourist signs for Ashlea Pools Country Park to the village of Hopton Heath. Ashlea Pools Country Park is situated approximately 300 yards on the right, south of the village green.
